Does anyone ever use the chat room...very time I go there it is empty, its really a nice one too...

I have seen a post once that there was an invitation to chat at a certain day/time. But that is the only time I found anyone in chat.
Usually when I get a minute to check the chat room there is no one there for me either.
So you are not alone!

open the chat window and then open another window to surf on to other things.

assuming you have the lastest version of Java, you will hear a noise when someone enters the room... and you'll have someone to talk to.

I find if i leave the chat open for about 15 minutes, someone is sure to pop in - and after an hour, there's usually a nice little group in there.

of course, you can always make an announcement on the forums saying "from 1pm to 2pm eastern i'll be in chat" and ususally that works too.

Don't wait for someone else to get the ball rolling! Take the initiative!

Andrea, I have the latest Java and I don't hear any noise. I wish I did, because I do just that -- open another window and surf. Often by the time I check back, somebody already came and yelled at me and left!

There is a nice group on most evenings between 8 and 10.

For the past 2 nights, I've been trying to get on to the chat and I can't get there. Every time I hit the chat button, it gets to the page where (if it worked right) I would have to sign in...but I can't seem to get that box to come up.

Maybe it's my computer...I don't know. I was on it before.....

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong???? HELP!!!
