Amazon, that's great! I can so relate. I tried this kind of WOE before (that time it was a la CURVES)and it didn't work very well. My DH kept bringing home high carb treats all the time. He even admitted, that he didn't particularly help then. I then found Atkins and read the book. I explained it to him and he decided to do it with me. We have been doing it together ever since! ![]() I'm so happy for you, hope he'll stick with it. Never give up! Never surrender! Katrin

Ah, the very best kind of testimonial, leading by example! This should be fun - men typically do extremely well eating this way, and chances are he will really enjoy being able to eat decent quantities of delicious food and still lose weight. What a change from the old "rabbit food" school of thought so many of us grew up with. And what a joy it will be to see your dear hubby getting healthier and enjoying the trip. Congratulations on your 30# gone - that's terrific. Best wishes! Sky Atkins since 8/02 186/144/under 150

Hi Amazon. My Dh did the same thing. I also lost 30 lbs when he decided that he would like to give this woe a try. He is doing great and it is so much easier to prepare the same meals. Good luck to you both from two more "old farts"

Yeah--My DH has followed my lead, although he is not as rigid about his carb intake as I would like (He has still lost quite a bit of weight, which I have to admit irritates me!)--Its so nice to be "in it together" Ouis

Go, Amazon! Clear out your cupboards! Have a truly LC kitchen. (... and DON'T, whatever you do, compare your DH's progress to yours. They don't have half the impediments to weight loss on this WOE that we do. Think of him as an example of an alien life form. It will give you just the right perspective! LOL!) He is however, finding some of the stuff I make (snack-wise) to be tastey.........so there's always hope!!! Barb Atkins-3/14/03 174/147.4/135 "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing."
