| if you make a chicken broth, with vegetables, but dont eat the vegetables, how do you count the carbs? thanks |

| My own approach is to count the net carbs of the vegetables I use. I just assume that, since I cook it forever, the carbs are in the broth and the fiber is about all that's left in the vegetables that are strained out at the end of the broth making process. Also, through trial and error, I've found that replacing my usual "celery, onion, carrot" with "celery, leeks, rutabaga" (yeah, rutabaga - a vegetable I had never eaten before lc and which turns out to be sort of a cross between carrot and potato when cooked but very low carb, in contrast to carrots and potatoes) I get a delicious broth, lower in carbs, that's hardly distinguishable from my original recipe.
