| After two weeks of eggs (scrambled, sunny side up, egg salad, hardboiled, deviled) I am pretty much sick of them. I actually went to make myself an egg yesterday AM and gagged at the thought of eating it. Whatelse can I have for breakfast? Or is there any creative way to make eggs, that I can fool myself into thinking it is something else??? | Have you tried crustless quiche? I love it. Helps me get some veggies in for breakfast as well. Debby 206.5/157/140?130? CAD/CALP 1/12-10/9/03 Atkins since 10/10/03 |

| On the assumption that you have time to cook, since you cook eggs. Anything is fair game for breakfast. How about a grilled sirloin burger with steamed broccoli, or saute'd asparagus, etc. Little smokies, sausage links (or patties), with cottage cheese, sliced avocado and tomato. The quiche idea is good, as the egg sort of get's lost in there. Low carb pancakes, you don't need the packaged mix. There are "from scratch" recipes that are cheaper, better, and just as easy as any of the packages stuff. There are some good cereal choices, including hot cereals. There are many choices. Be creative... --jim |

| If you're past induction, and well into OWL (your post doesn't specify), a couple of my fav. breakfasts are: Cheddarwurst link, 1/2c. cottage cheese, and a few celery sticks. 2sl lc toast, and 1/4c of honeydew melon, and cantaloupe with about 3-4 grapes thrown in. Prepackaged BBQ flavored chicken wings (2 carbs for 4 wings), and a small salad. Canned tuna mixed with mayo, onion, and 1/2c of peas. Induction level breakfast for me was a big bowl of salad, fried sandwich steak with a few onions, peppers, and mushrooms (saute this, and dump it on the salad), with some cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing (Tastes like a Steak Escape Philly Cheesesteak salad). Various lunch meats rolled up with colby cheese, or cream cheese spread. If you're really hungry, take some roast beef slices, spread green onion cream cheese all over it, and wrap that around a piece of string cheese. 2 of those will keep you going for quite awhile.. Just remember to have veggies at lunch, then. (296/220/135) 04/01/03 The Downward Spiral Begins |

| It's an egg thing, but that fake Danish in the recipes is pretty good--and easy. But I'll eat anything for breakfast--tuna or chicken salad, celery with peanut butter, flaxseed/wheat bran cereal (see recipes), or the ever-popular leftover steak, chicken, whatever. Barb L.
