| Hi all, I found your site about a week ago and I've gotten alot of good info from it. I started Atkins Aug. 31st and I've lost 24 lbs. I feel I must be one of the lucky ones. I have seen alot about the Atkins bars and I have eaten them pretty much since day 1. I eat a Breakfast Bar every morning. I haven't had any weeks that I haven't lost weight. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has been able to eat them with success? I kind of got a little scared when I saw the replies about them stalling weight loss. I am thinking maybe I should stop using them. Does that make since??? or would they have already affected me if they were going to? |

| Hi Laurie. I think most people will tell you to stay away from those bars. Try eating some real foods and keep drinking your water. Laurie |

| Hi, Laurie T. Congrats on your success so far. You've been lucky with those bars, but everybody's experience is different. One of the goals of Atkins is relearning eating habits--and that usually means trying to enrich our nutrition with real food, as Greeneyedgirl points out. An Atkins bar is junk food in low-carb disguise. The same is true of many commercial low-carb products. And besides, they're expensive! There are better, more satisfying, and more nutritious choices. | Thanks for the advice. I do get all my veggies in and lots of water the rest of the day, I just eat them(the bars) in the morning. I didn't realize they were junk food though. I might have to come up with an alternative. Laurie |
