I've done Atkins before, but not strictly and I just reinitiated myself with a whole new perspective after learning more on various websites (this being one of the most informative ) HOWEVER, it is day three and I am a little physical pain...my body is sore and achey, and I'm tired and irritable, almost like having the flu.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Becca
Welcome!! This is normal for the early part of induction. By the second week you should be feeling much much better. Your energy levels should be high, that headachy feeling should disappear along with flu-like symptoms. if they don't maybe you have the flu, lol.

Thanks Rob, really appreciate the feedback. I'm a preschool teacher, so my immunity is 150% lol...hopefully I'll be feeling great again soon. Day 1 and 2 were a breeze. I can't wait til I'm past induction and I can add in more fruits and veggies. I miss my fruit

Hello Becca
When I started Atkins I thought a Mac Truck had hit me, my hair even hurt, but its just part of the process. It should pass in just a few days, unless you really do have the flu.

Hi Becca,

Welcome to the boards!!!!!

Yes, you go through a a period of detoxing. Give it time, it does disappear and then watch out!!! You will feel GREAT. It took me about a month to get over it. I felt drained, achey, lethargic, lots of headaches, etc. But this too shall pass. Hang in there!!!! Just wait 'til you've reached the 2-3 month mark, you won't believe how good you feel. Something to look forward to........
