Yesterday, on my 11th day of Induction, I fell off the wagon big time. In about 20 minutes I ate 3 cereal bars, a handful of M+Ms and leftover chicken rice. What's wrong with me?? I feel SO guilty and like all of my progress has been lost.

What's the best thing to do after cheating? Should I reduce carbs below 20g for the next few days?

Pick up where you left off and drink lots of water.... You'll see a brief fluid spike on the scale but if your vigilant it will come back off. We've all been there... many times myself... The most important thing right now is stop the bleeding and get right back up on the horse immediately! Isn't it amazing how fast we can shovel things in on an impulse and then spend hours wondering just what the H E double hockey sticks we just did! Good Luck

Brad's right on. The wonderful thing about this way of eating is that you're never more than one meal away from resuming it.

Drink LOTS of water, go back to eating low carb (if you're still in induction, go back to 20 gms per day until day 14, then start OWL), take a l-o-n-g hot bath, and (while you're soaking) think about what led you to this binge. It may be that you have not introduced enough variety into your menus. With this way of eating, there is no reason to be hungry or to feel deprived.

Remember, that it's almost time to start really diversifying your food choices. Choose wisely and you'll ultimately normalize your weight and be able to maintain it for life.

Hang in there.
