Four months ago I had an emergency c-section. Recovery has been slow and hard. Who would have thought, I was so active before I got pregnant...riding my bike 15 miles a day...weight training. I was also put on bed rest at 30 weeks I didn't think it would effect me so much. But bed rest and a c-section has been really hard. Well, here is the good news, a few days ago I had to run through the house chasing my 4 year old down. Then it hit me...I was running. Today I had to go into walmart. My parents and kids waited in the van I had to hurry, so I ran. I couldn't help but smile. Just a few weeks ago before starting this WOL/E I truely could have have done this. I didn't have the energy, I was still to sore. And so even though I haven't lost the amount of weight just yet that I dreamed of...this WOE has helped me feel better than I have in months!!!

Congrat! I know I will be running agin soon...I don't want to overstress my knees and ankles "all my joints are pretty bad...lol" So I am going to wait until I am under 200...Right under it. I was able to do this last time I was on Atkins and it helped a great deal in my weight loss.

Congrats again! I love having all this energy!

Have no fear, we are here, to support 1lb at a time...

Well done, Nat!
You sound like you're bouncing back!
Runnin is so good for you too, if you don't have any "joint issues".

I am adding .6 mile run to my morning hikes. I expect to build up to 1 mile run per day by the end of October. Sky's the limit after that!
I was in track in high school, and there is nothing like a good run to make you feel great!
