Hi there,

We need a lot more information. How long have you been doing this WOE and give us a sample menu of a couple of normal days for you.

Most find they do not have hunger pains with this WOE IF doing it properly.

I agree with that! It only took me six days to stop craving junk foods once I started low-carbing. But it might help if you tell us more about you, what kind of stuff you eat, how bad your overeating is, if you're sedentary, what else in your life makes you overeat, etc.

Certainly there is a low-carb diet out there that can help you control the additcion and cravings.

Same here, my cravings stopped after induction, and now sometimes I have to kick myself into eating a meal - not hungry - never thought I would say that I skipped a meal....so there must be something you are not eating or are eating that is kicking in a need for snacking...I hardly ever snack, even at night which used to be my worst time.

Yes, Meow, let us know. I am almost never hungry (except first thing in the morning when I wake up) - your reaction is not typical.

Let's quantify this...

Are you speaking of HUNGER or APPETITE?

Also, please tell us what you're eating so that we may better comment.

ok.. here I am after class eating again.. i'm eating cold cut chicken breast. When I said I eat alot.. I'm not eating coz I'm hungry.. but I just need to eat.. maybe coz I'm bored or stressed coz of school. I"m doing University rite now by the way. And so I just want to eat. OK.. typical meal.. morning.. I can't eat eggs coz at dorm they make eggs with flour... so.. I'd usually eat some leftover chicken legs or chicken breast with 2 cheese strings, lunch would be 2 hamburger without bun, and some cold cuts like roast beef and turkey, then dinner would be 2 hamburger without bun and some meat again with cheese.. I feel like eating all the time.. not necessarily hungry.. Ive been on induction for 2 weeks already.. but didn't follow strictly the 20 carb. so I'm starting again today... and I"m counting.. but I"m really scared it still won't work. I didn't loose a pound or an inch the last 2 weeks and I'm getting really frustrated and tired.... will this really work??????? even if I just eat hamburgers every meal?? coz that's the most descent meat I find in my cafeteria.. I need some HELP..

Where are your greens?

you need to have your veggies on induction...and are you drinking lots and lots of water?

I agree about the veggies. Eat em. Also are you eating any fat? Try slathering mayo on your chicken or tuna. Fat satiates. Lastly, for some people eating can be an act of boredom or habit. If you have eaten a well balanced meal, and drank ate least 64 oz of water in your day, you should not be hungry. Appetite may be calling you. Ask yourself if you feel hunger or appetite.

I would say that if you find yourself hungry then you should . . . eat!

I know that if you are used to dieting all of your life like most of us were, then it may just sound strange to hear that you can eat whenever you need to.

BUT I think the most important thing you can do for yourself is to buy Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution and read it.

I agree with what the others have said. On induction you have to be strict so count your carbs accordingly.

Don't skip any meals, but don't overeat either. As was previously mentioned - don't skimp on the fat to start - it will help in making you feel satisfied.

Be certain you drink enough water, and you could try taking L-Glutamine - it can help with cravings. Good Luck

You are setting yourself up for failure - NO VEGGIES! Have a huge salad @ lunch - lettuce (2 cups), meat, cheese, low carb veggies. Low carb veggies = green beans, cauliflour, broccli, cucumbers, bok choy, cabbage, celery, bean sprouts. Also moderate carb veggies (in moderation) green peppers, tomatoes, onions. Hopefully your dorm meal plan has a salad bar (my son's did.) Ranch or vinegrette or blue cheese dressing in moderation is ok. Also celery stuffed with cream cheese and peppers or no sugar peanut butter. Meat rollups -lunch meats- w/ cream cheese and peppers or whatever spread over them, then roll them, assuming you have a mini refrig in your room. @ dinner perhaps another small salad w/ meat & cheese along with a main course meat and then in the mini frig snacks listed above. Hard boil eggs and eat straight or make deviled eggs. If no frig then pork rinds on hand and beef jerky (but take a good look @ the carb counts, some add a lot of sugar.) Pumpkin and sunflower seeds. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Gyps wrote what I was going to write!

If you're hungry, EAT! Pig out on legal foods. That's what they're there for.
