I was REALLY sick over the weekend, it was the weirdest thing. I went to bed Friday night feeling fine and then woke up Saturday morning at 6:00 am because I was soooo nauseous. I spent the whole day throwing up. Anything I ate I threw up. My mom got me some gravol to try to make the nausea go away and I was reluctant to take it because I didn't want it to affect my ketosis... but I ended up taking 6 throughout the day because it knocked me out. Then Sunday morning I woke up and I was completely fine. Now the rest of my family has it. Anyways my question is, does anybody thing the gravol could have interfered with my ketosis AND I didn't eat all day Saturday because I was not holding anything down so did my body stay in ketosis?

If you ate nothing else all day then it would depend on the carb/sugar content of the gravol. I don't know what it is so I can't help you out on the carb content. What are the ingredients.
If it contains sugar - how far down is it listed.

Um....my first reaction to your post is to say: Who cares if you're in ketosis or not when you're so sick that you're tossing your cookies all day long?

My guess would be that if you weren't able to eat anything all day then, yes, you're still in ketosis.

If I might proffer a suggestion...when you are so sick that you are puking all dang day, make sure that you try to drink as much liquid as possible, else your body will dehydrate.

Also...when you're sick like that, forget about concentrating on weight loss and concentrate, instead, on getting well.

My two cents...

I know, I know but I had been in induction for 7 days and I really didn't want to fall off the wagon. The was no sugar in the gravol pills, I made my mom check in the ingredients and the non-medical ingredients. But I'm back on the wagon and I tried the mock danish for breakfast today and it was great! Like a mini cheesecake! I used a bit less cream cheese in the danish and took a tiny bit of cream cheese mixed it with some vanilla Davinci syrup and topped the danish. Yummy!

Im glad your feeling better! but dont worry about something as small as that....worry about getting better!!! Im sure a few extra carbs didnt do anything because you wasnt able to eat...so there was nothing there......Dont worry!
Your doing fine!!
