I brush my teeth a lot! Also, some mints are acceptable; be sure to read the ingredients and count the carbs, if any. Many times when I'm taking a drink of water, I swish it around to make sure my mouth is well rinsed, too.

Some more approaches:

- Breath strips

- Couple of drops of mint extract in the water in your water bottle (Thanks, Barb K )

- Keep a parsley or basil plant at your desk and nosh on the leaves every now and then. (Keep a mirror handy for green specks in the teeth. LOL!)

- Put a few cloves or coffee beans in your pocket and chew on one every now and then.

You could not shower for a few days, that way, noone would suspect that its your breath that stinks.

Seriously, those little breath strips either made by listerine or altoid seem to work well for me. And the delivery device is gelatin, which is protein.

p.s. try the cinnamon

I agree with Gyps, cinnamon Listerine strips are great for bad breath.

Also, be sure you are drinking LOTS of water - that helps tremendously.

Listerene (sp?) strips, lots of them. I like the blue ones which are minty.

I use Dentyne FIRE, along with the mint drops, lots of water and breath strips. The dentyne fire is sweetened with maltitol and sucralose. I only chew one every now and then. Especially when I am going to be with other humans.

How long does the bad breath last. I brush my teeth but it seems that in a few minutes, my mouth feels like trash again.

As long as you are in ketosis. Time to get a truckload of mints and breath strips, eh?

I hardly notice it on my breath anymore. I noticed it last week, when the fan was blowing in my face, but other than that, I haven't noticed it much at all for the past couple of months. Perhaps that means I'm not burning fat as quickly as I used to when I was fatter. It still shows on my ketostix, though.

My bad breath has calmed down, too. I don't know if I should be happy or sad about that. And like you, Doctor Insomnia, I still register on the stix.
