if I dont get it off then i'll just quit and have no life of my own and be a fat non edcuated loser
"Ok I'm sorry.. but I hate being this fat and this horrible.. It's not My fault i have to be so thin to join the Coast Guard. I have to join for myself and my family. I can't wait a few years. and No college isn't possible. Not enough timme plus it'll take a million years. My job , the best thing I can get, only pays mme 6 an hour" THESE ARE YOUR WORDS....you have already put too much pressure on yourself to succeed in this WOE, I am sorry you feel this is your only chance.... but if you get down to it, and follow the WOE correctly you might get there. If the only job you can get only pays 6. an hour, have you thought about moving somewhere that might have other jobs you could do....The Coast Guard is great, however, what if you don't make your goal, what are your plans then....why wait till the summer to make changes in your life based on getting into the Coast guard... you could be taking college classes now and in the spring semester... community colleges are very low, bet you could get a scholarship or a grant.anyway, don't put all your chickens in one basket, cause sometimes the basket falls apart the the chickens fly away. First off you need to lose the fat non-educated loser attitude, you won't get anywhere with that, if you want to succeed, you have to change not only your way of eating, but your way of thinking.

Liz,
You haven't responded to any of the advice after asking the question. I just wanted to know you are okay? Let us know how it's going for you.

Liz,

For the sake of diversity of opinion, I do think it can be done. However, it will not take the simple adoption of the LC WOE. Most of us here are committing ourselves to a lifestyle change that we know will improve our health outlook for life.

That's fine and dandy, and highly encouraged, but what you need is a "training plan" to reach your goal for next summer. I happen to believe that a diet that follows LC tenents is the way to go, and you can get lots of help in that regard here.

However, I see it as a small part of what you'll have to do to accomplish your goal. You'll need to incorporate it into a rigid regime of exercise, training and living by schedules dictated by those activities. That's not entirely a bad thing, considering you're committing yourself to a military-type way of life come next summer.

I'd suggest you find yourself a personal trainer, or someone at a local Y or something that can design a plan to reach your goal. It will probably mean doing things like running, swimming, or working out when you'd rather be doing other things, but it must be done. You'll also benefit from increased endurance, strength, and everything else that comes with "being in shape". Just losing weight won't help you in those regards anyway.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Liz, I assure you there is no one here who intends to hurt you in any way, and no one who has been less than kind in their response. I'm sorry you feel you can not take the advice of those who mean only to help you be realistic in reaching your goals. Believe me, the best support is being honest. I hope you find some help in feeling better about yourself so that you will be in a better place to make your dreams come true. I wish you well, and am closing this thread now.
