You're hungry when you get home? And you want something to eat before your "official" dinner time? Well then, by all means eat something!

If you're in OWL, that could be a few nuts, some olives, celery with cream cheese--virtually anything on the list. Prepare a snack ready-to-eat when you get home.

Often, I like to have a salad as much as an hour or so before the rest of my dinner is ready. Delicious and refreshing.

Tammy, WELCOME to the boards. You have been doing this about as long as I have and I have almost lost as much as you.

When I feel like noshing, I get out a 1/4 cup of almonds, pistachios, hulled pumpkin seeds, pecans, whatever and snack on those. I measure out the 1/4 cup so I don't end up eating the whole thing. OR I'll make some almond cookies (check the recipes here) and have a couple of those. I top them with a pecan or almond. OR I'll have a WHOLE avocado. OR a couple pieces of ham and swiss cheese rolled up. Snack on something LEGAL!!!! ( I gather you are talking about snacking, eh?)

tammy, welcome to the site. you'll find a lot of great advice & support here.
i usually snack on hard boiled eggs or nuts. the key is keep something legal handy that you can grab. the mini cheese cake recipe on this site is great, if you are looking for something sweet.
