Does anyone know if Starbuck's have any low carb blended coffees. I am scared to walk into one to ask. I may not be able to control myself.

    I am determined.

I go to Starbuck's regularly and order the drip coffee (coffee of the day, etc) and add my own 1/2 and 1/2 and sweetener to it. You can also request a vanilla lattes (my favorite!) made with the sugar free syrup and 1/2 and 1/2. Don't be afraid to ask-they have all different types of milk and sweeteners and certainly charge enough for you to get what you ask for.

DO NOT order a latte. Even with the sugarfree vanilla and half n half they contain 20 CARBS for a Grande.

A cappuccino would be a better choice at 13 carbs.

What I do is order a Grande Red Eye (dark roast drip coffee with an add shot of espresso) with sf vanilla syrup and tell them I want a SMALL amount of steamed heavy cream or half’n’half added to top it off. Sometimes they’ll ask me why I just don’t use the half’n’half container on the counter, I tell them it cools off the coffee too quickly so I like it to be steamed. Just a little though. Hold your fingers up and show them just about ½ an inch of space between your fingers.

    Grande drip = 2 carbs
    1 shot espresso = 1 carbs
    sf vanilla = 0 carbs
steamed cream = 2-4 carbs depending how much they put in

Best case senario, you have a coffee for 5 carbs, worst case, you have one for 7 carbs.

This is the absolute BEST way I’ve found to be able to minimize carbs AND have coffee while out.

And the price isn’t bad. If they don’t charge you for steaming the cream, it should only be $2.45 – if they do charge for steaming the cream, it’ll be about $2.80. Expensive but still cheaper than many other drinks they sell.

    I hope this helps!
