| Menny, Welcome to the boards! There has been quite a bit that has changed in the Dr. Atkins books in the last 5 years. So really it would be in your best interest to pick up a new copy. Until then you can to the the atkin web site at www.atkins.com. As for the leg cramps I don't get them unless I eat HC foods. Yeah.. I'm a bit backwards! LOL I still think that you mantained your weight really well and you should be proud of yourself! Oh.. the carb count starts at 20 net carbs now. | On the old board we had a running theory going that if you got leg cramps it would soon follow with a WHOOOSH. (weight loss) I still get them when I lose. I just had one the other night and lost almost 2 lbs the next day. So we were kinda lookin forward to them, I agree, get a copy of the NEW Diet Revolution. They are in paperback and not too expensive. And read up here and at the site Tanya mentioned. There's lots to read at the beginnings of the thread and at the tops of the pages. Welcome aboard and glad to have you with us!!!! ![]() Barb - 30 lbs gone FOREVER! www.iwsgroupinc.com - website design and development Atkins-3/14/03 174/144.6/135 5'2" "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing." | It may help to start a pottasium supplement. That is what my doctor said was causing mine. Due to no longer eating oranges, bannana's etc. Hey Barb, I didn't know they were related to the woosh fairy. Had I known that I would not have cursed so much. Those darn things hurt. I get them in my feet too. OUCH! |

|
quote:
Due to no longer eating oranges, bannana's etc.

This is actually a misconception. You get more lots more potassium from, for example, 1/2 cup of cooked spinach (286 mg) than from a medium banana (25 mg). So repeat after me: Eat those leafy green veggies!!
