| I'm curious about eating beans (brown, garbanzo, etc.) South Beach says they're ok...but my mom borrowed my Atkins book and took it to Florida, so I can't check the "legality" of beans. Can anyone help? I'm curious about making chili and hummus dip. Thanks! 163/158/125 Valentines Challenge: 158/158/143 |

| I can't find my Atkins book either but I'm pretty sure that the only bean that is allowable on OWL is soy beans. Eden makes black soy beans that are only 2 net carbs per cup. Marcie has a couple recipes at the following link: http://www.lowcarbeating.com/article...s%20and%20Tips JUst make sure to read the label on teh beans you buy to be sure it's the right one. | What about chana dal beans? They are supposed to be really low on the glycemic index. Anyone know about them? I have a bag in my pantry that I haven't used yet. |
