Are you on induction? If so, nuts are not allowed. Go to Atkins Website to see a list of acceptable foods. Use full fat dressings because you need to have fats in your diet! And just for further reference, peanuts aren't a great nut choice even when you are allowed to have them. Breakfast is really important. It keeps your metabolism going and stops you from eating the entire contents of the fridge if you get too hungry later in the day. Try to have breakie! If you are in a rush, hard boil some eggs the night before to eat onthe run. Make sure to have veggies with each meal, and lots of the legal ones. Good luck!

Edited to add: Also I know it is sometimes hard to find the time to read a book. However, it would be in your best interest to do so. I have two jobs and I know how time crunched you can get. Throw being a student in the mix when you alreadu have to read, and it is crazy. Do the best you can. Also peruse this and the Atkins site to get more tips

Tj, you really need to read up and you also really need to eat breakfast. As Steph said, if time is an issue, hard boil some eggs. You can even mix some chopped up with mayo (Like egg salad) if that would taste better to you. Don't use Miracle Whip, it contains sugar. Use REAL mayo. You can also cook bacon up ahead of time and just nuke it for 30 seconds or so between two pieces of paper towel on a plate.

I hope your intention isn't to lose 20 lbs and then go back to the way you ate before. You WILL gain the weight back.

Also you might want to add some weight training into your exercise plan. Adding more lean muscle REALLY gets the metabolism roaring, it stokes the fires, so to speak. Aerobics only goes so far.

As I posted in your other post, read the Beginner's Guide!!!!

quote:
I havent read the book because i really have minium time.

If you don't have time to waste, then you can't afford to do this the wrong way. You can't afford to NOT read the book and end up making mistakes about things you don't even think to ask someone. If money's an issue, go to the Atkins site (ozziegirl gave you the link in her post) and at the very least read the articles on how to get started on Phase I, but you should really get to a library or booke store and get a copy of the book.

    TJ,

I have to echo the advice given above...

I do not think this way of eating is dangerous in the least... unless you do it wrong because you haven't bothered to read up on it!
This is your health and your body we're talking about here! At least read the "Beginner Basics" and the other various topics about this way of eating.
    We are all busy.
But this is worth taking time for.

    As for your menu, NO!
    1) It's not nearly enough food! This is NOT a low-fat/low-calorie diet! If you try to eat that way long-term, you will fail for sure. This is why you need to read the book.

    2) START EATING BREAKFAST now. It's not important what you have done before; your body has just gone 8-9 hours without food (while you slept)... to make it go another 3-4 hours before eating is very bad and can actually hamper your weight loss.

3)Add some fat to your menu! Add butter and full-fat salad dressing! Add some cheese! As I said before, this woe (way of eating) goes against all traditional methods of dieting. Fat is not as big of a concern at this point and in fact, upping your fat intake will not only help you lose faster, it will make you more satisfied with this diet and therefore, help you STAY ON IT.

    4) Start drinking lots of water -- at least 1/2 your weight in ounces. But DON'T guzzle it -- sip it throughout the day. Adequate water intake is crucial to success with this way of eating AND it will protect your kidneys from the taxing effects of ketosis.

We are here to help and support you, but we cannot *hold your hand* and show you every single step along the way. You have to do *some* of the work yourself!
If you want this bad enough, you will take the time to read and educate yourself about this way of eating.
I truly wish you the best!

    Summer
