I am exactly one week into SBD. This morning after taking the kids to school I gave in to my sugar craving and had one Hershey's kiss. Then I had about 10 more. <sigh> I got so sick - not physically - but dizzy, nauseated, just awful feeling. I ate a hamburger and that helped lift the sick feeling somewhat. But...

Have I totally ruined all the hard work this past week? Should I stay one the strict part a third week, instead of ending at the usual 14 days? I'm so mad at myself I could just cry.

But I can guarantee I won't be eating chocolate again any time soon... whoa, that was just AWFUL.

Help?

All of us have eaten something we should not when we first get started but you only ate 11 kisses and are looking to stay on LC. The best thing is to wait and see what it does to your weight loss. If you suddenly stop losing or feel that you are slowed down then stay another week makes sense.

It looks like you have learned your lesson and won't do that again.

Hi

I just did the same thing, just 5 mins ago, my son and his friend begged me to make them chocolate chip cookies, so I did, I did fine for the first hour, took them off the sheets, put them in a tight container, opened the windows, then made some broccoli, ate it, then I just caved in. I ate 6 cookies and a cup of milk. I was craving them so hard, and was literally obsessing. So I figured, fine, just give in, and it will be overwith.

UGH

I am into my second week, first week I lost 7 lbs, now I feel like crap and need to restart the ketosis process again, I'll just drink plenty of water and get back on the horse again. Minor setback, I'll keep forging ahead.

We're all human Next time, I wont make cookies, I told my son this is the last time already. Or prepare beforehand. Oh man, do I ever feel icky. Next time I crave, I'll remember how icky I feel right now.

I agree that you should wait and see what it does to your weight loss. It may not do anything. At most I would add 2 or 3 days to induction if you've gained at this point. And don't sweat it, Don't look back and don't feel guilty. Chocolate happens!

Me, a skeptic? I trust you have proof.
