Hi Mike-
I am a newbie so I am not sure of the implications of Chromium P. for Atkins, however, my neighbor is diabetic and swears it helps stabilize her blood sugar. It would be worth a try. By the way, I take a supplement from American Longevity called Ultimate Classic. It is liquid - yuck but it has so many vitamins and minerals, including one that is proven to help with sweet cravings.

Hi Mike,
I take chromium polynicotinate which is recommended by the Heller's (CALP). It is known as Chromium gtf...glucose tolerance factor. It is the Heller's opinion, that the chromium helps prevent the insulin spikes and helps the body regulate the insulin production. Also, they feel that simple sugars that a carb addict overindulges in, can deplete the body's supply of chromium.
I take the C. polynicotinate gtf, and I think it helps me with staving off cravings and helps somewhat in appetite control. YMMV. This is only my opinion concerning my body.

I take chromium picolinate and have since I started on 11/30. Does not bother me but not sure if it helps either.

I take the Adkins Basic, Dieter's Advantage, Essential Oils, & Accel. All but the oils has chromium but not picolinate. I believe these are helping me with craving control and nutritional support. I also take 1 potassium daily because I was having leg cramps at night.
