Terra (sanct) guess there's 2 of you now, oh boy am I going to get confused.

Awwwwww, Loves.......stick with it. You can do it, for your sake and your son's sake. With the support here, you can do it!!!!! I think even a drop of 20 lbs will make all the difference. You should see that goal very soon. Try to look at this in small increments. It's much easier to reach for 5 or 10 lbs at a time, then it's not so overwhelming.

Hang in there. come here often for support, whenever you need it. There will always be someone here to answer you. BTW, here's a most excellent article posted by Summer. It says it all This is not a hair commercial

She's Seesko, and I'll be Terra.

(Even if it's her given name and not mine...fair enough, right?)

Barb,

Thanks. I just realized how depressed I sounded in my post. I'm really not feeling THAT bad. I'm just ready to rid myself of this burden I've created for myself. I sure hope I stick with this.

Good Luck.

Well, my boss has made the commitment to go back on Atkins too. He lost 50 pounds, but gained back 10 during Christmas. I think he has about 30 pounds to go. It will make it easier around work, having someone else on the same diet. Unfortunately, there are two non-weight-challenged people in the office. One in particular thinks its fun to tease us by eating chips and M&M's in front of us and talking about how yummy they are. Mean, mean mean! I don't think he really realizes how hard that is to deal with during induction.

You can do it. Even if it's one lb. at a time.
My goal is to lose a total of 123 lbs. I believe it can be done. It may take longer than I had hoped ---- but, there are other GOOD health benefits to experience with this WOL, as well!

At my highest weight, I was 380 pounds. As of this morning, I was 232.5. That's almost 150 pounds gone. I had made it to the 150 pounds lost but have had some issues with bloating a lot. (some bad food choices over the holidays) I still have around 82 more pounds to go.

If the 110 pounds seems overwhelming, aim for a 10th of that. Get to that loss and aim for another 10th and so on.(like in 10 pounds increments.)

I started this WOE about six weeks ago. I weighted 299. Now, I weigh 276. I was down to 272 but weight keeps fluctuating. No cheating, I swear. Smiles. My goal weight is 130. So I had 169 pounds to lose. Now, I have 146 to lose. I am trying to realize that I am changing my lifestyle and not go crazy when the scale is not my friend.

Peace, Joanna
