Alcohol is OK IN MODERATION. Just remember to count the carbs toward your daily total, and that your body will burn off any alcohol you ingest first, and then switch back to burning fat and carbs.

I've tried the low carb beers-they're pretty good, but several of the regular lite beers like Miller Lite are also pretty low carb. I think Miller Lite is 3.5 carbs a bottle or something.

Anyhow, I personally would rather use my daily carbs on veggies and cheese and nuts. So when I have a drink, I usually stick to vodka (no carbs) with diet tonic or another legal mixer.

Ditto what Rachel said.
You can have alcohol in moderation. Michelob Ultra has 2.6 g carb and miller lite has 3.2. Those are the 2 I drink if I have any. Remember your tolerance to alcohol will go down. That's just a side effect of low carbing. So don't drive after.

Me, a skeptic? I trust you have proof.

Also remember, it is easier to cheat when you have had a drink (or more). Make sure the food situation isn't one that will invite cheating.
