This was recommended to me by the trainer at the gym who said it helps her all the time:

Once you brush your teeth and do all the sleep prep stuff you do, take 10 minutes and sit in a room by yourself on the floor. Light a nice candle and do some very low intensity stretching.... do the stretches nice and slow and try to zone out for 10 minutes.

I tried this last night and not only did it help me relax before bed, I felt very loose and "alive" when I woke up. I was feeling crappy from my carbo detox called induction :-)

Thanks!

Mike

Great tip, thanks for sharing!

I know you'll be glad when induction is past and you're feeling all the great benefits of your LC WOE!

Take care~

Mike, did they suggest to do some deeeeeep breathing too? This would almost be like Yoga. I find that after Yoga, I could take a nap. I may give this a try, never thought of doing this at bedtime. Although right now I am re-reading Lord of the Rings. That knocks me out in like 10 mins flat!!!! (not saying it's boring, but reading at bedtime really makes me sleepy. I don't get much read and at this rate it will take me 3 yrs to read the first book. LOL. )

Might give that a try. Think it'll help me sleep past 3:30?

Yep, my dog keeps giving me the dirtiest looks too when I get up. Then she rolls over and sleeps 3 more hours.
