Yesterday I noticed something I hadn't felt in a very long time...The veins in my feet. Ridiculous, I'm sure... but it made me feel like I was making some headway. It seems like the weight is coming off so slowly for me and people are just now asking me if I have been losing weight, lol. Today I hit 24 pounds since October 1.
I really contribute my ability to stick with it to this site and all you wonderful people. I don't post much, but read it often and get so much inspiration from you all. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
For those of you just starting, you are in the right place. Don't give up and know you are more than worth the effort and supposed sacrifices. It may seem that your goal is so out of reach, it isn’t…. just take baby steps…. Before you know it you you’ll reach mini goal after mini goal…then you are there. Best of luck to all.

Christine

I hear so many success stories from the Atkins Diet, I can't wait to see how it works for me.

Christine,

Congratulations on the 24 pounds...that's fantastic! You're right--seeing the veins in your feet again is very exciting!

Good luck to 'ya!

hey I understand the veins on your feet thing. I recently discovered that I have funny bones in my hand. There is a bump on my wrist on the outside, and a bump at the base of my thumb. Maybe other people have known about these, but this is the first time in my life that I have seen or felt these. And that feels good! hee hee

After one year on Atkins, I feel like I've only just begun to explore all the variety and opportunity for good eating on the program.

My husband has been doing induction for the first time, and we're both going to enjoy trying out new recipes as we continue making this our chosen lifestyle.

Best wishes!

LOL re veins on feet. I was noticing this morning how some things about my body have changed in the last few months. The shape of my legs is noticably different, my feet no longer swell so my shoes are too loose<G>. All my clothes fit 'differently' although the size changes aren't comparable to others I see here (I'm shaped like an apple so mid body is where I lose least and last ). I had a new driver's license photo taken recently and the shape of my face has also changed.

I guess I'm fashioning a whole new me!!! Pretty kewl.
