| My wife and I are on day eight and we decided to try the minicarb muffin mix. Total 7g, fibre 4, net 3 with 2 sugars. Seemed reasonable since we have a hard time getting 20 carbs a day. Well we whipped them up and each had one with some butter on it. A few minutes later it was very apparent that we were on some kind of sugar buzz. Not all that pleasant. Felt like when you've had too much coffee and are shaky. Now they were quite delious but didn't like the effect it had. One more thing, it made us both very hungry afterwards which I remember reading that it is probably a food that is being coverted to glucose very quickly which means putting it on the "avoid" list. Anyone else experience this or maybe can explain just what happened. 209/199/190(for now) |

| Mowen, you pretty much explained it for yourself. An unpleasant sugar high, probably due to lots of hidden carbs/sugars. For this reason many LCers won't touch that processed psuedo LC food. If you're still on induction, 'treats' really aren't appropriate anyway. You really should be getting all of your carbs from natural foods, especially vegetables. For a treat when you're done with induction check this out: 3 minute cake I make a 'yellow' version of this by adding DaVinci SF vanilla syrup and eliminating the cocoa. Good Luck! "Do, or do not.
