you know clemmy, i totally feel your pain. This time i have been able to stick to the plan, but i have tried unsuccessfully to get trough induction twice already. Its just hard when the "world outside' comes to visit. for me it was being at home with my parents and their gynormous kitchen stuffed with sees candies and crackers.
Just stay strong, i promise you will get through it.

Niki,

Being pregnant and trying to watch your weight can be a tricky thing. You want to give the growing baby all the nutrients it needs. This is a great opportunity to eat tons of veggies. They are relatively guilt free and great for both you and the baby! Eat lots of green, leafy veggies. I like to eat them raw, with a bit of ranch dip. The crunch makes them satisfying and the dip takes care of my cravings.

Good luck!

Now, let's turn that around into a positive statement. How about: "I CAN eat whatever I want, and since I have that choice, I CHOOSE to eat things that will make me healthy."

Shifting the paradigm, as it were, from negative to positive.

Sometimes it helps me if I think "I can" statements, rather than "I can't" statements. And after this weekend, I need all of the positive thinking I can get to get back on track.

I REALLY like that!

As in, "I can eat whatever I want" and then making sure you only "want" what's best for you and your WOE. As in, "that Cinnabon place sure smells good, but I don't really want one as it will make me feel crappy later". (If you love the smell, may I suggest burning an appropriately scented candle at home?)
