Hi everyone,
Well, i began on schedule-Friday, January 2, 2004. ironically, my problem is NOT eating the wrong things-it's eating period. I have almost no appetite. Friday, i didn't eat until late afternoon, and the same thing today. yesterday, i did very well though, ate six times, three meals and three snacks, and stayed within the 20 gm carb limit.
I have been drinking a lot-mostly very watered down herb and green tea(mixed-my personal recipe). i return to work tomorrow, and i always do well with water there, as we have Poland Spring, which i like. Tap water has been a irritant to my stomach in the past, but i think that may improve with time. In any case, i will fill up some extra bottles to bring home. Once i get over the current financial crunch I'm in, I'll get a few gallons of spring water for home use.
Just wanted to check in, and let you know that I have begun. And that i really appreciate all the support I've gotten here.

ALRIGHT Karimah!!! You are on your way. Just be sure to eat SOMETHING during the day even if you are not hungry, just a little snack. Good idea, filling up the bottles at work!!!

Hi Barb, just wanted to let you know that I am truly on my way now! Followed all your suggestions (bless you for being here for me), and it is working. Have lost ten pounds so far, and feeling wonderful! You're right, my stomach feels much better eating this way. I have a feeling I'm going to be able to cut down on my medication and someday maybe give it up entirely! I'm staying on Induction for two more weeks, and then will go to Phase Two-promise. I don't want to become an extremist.
Only 22 pounds to go-and I CAN do this!
I love this WOE and I love my new life!
