The main problem with this guy is that he's not a very talented writer. He's not terribly accurate and not terribly funny, so what you get is just some person of, perhaps, average intelligence but possessed of little talent, who was granted a soap box.

Now if you want to read something completely funny about "doing atkins" try this link which I got from another thread:

Another small minded person. What a shock it would be if he actually did "a little" research.

So he can have a big steak with a potato loaded with sour cream and it is healthy? But as soon as we toss the potato, were nuts? This guys attempt at humor was pitiful

That was as sarcastic and hilarious as anything I've ever read I loved it!

Maggie, I didn't bother reading the first article, but I did read the one you posted. Hilarious! Lunch: a small pig ROFLMAO!

Obviously, someone who "gets it"--and knows what to do with it.

Maggie, that article was hysterical. I just love sarcasm and wit. The first article? That was about as exciting as a smelly dishrag sitting under a sinkful of dirty dishes. That guy clearly has an underrated sense of humor.

I liked the 2nd article as well.

Especially when he said that it must be extremely expensive to extract carbs from normal foods! That they must do it in a zero gravity environment! LOL!

I always wondered why the "special" food has to be so expensive!
