| I wear a lot of rings, and I woke up today, and my fingers are swollen all around them! I can't get them off. I've lost, not gained. I understand about water weight around the TOM but this is ridiculous. Could that really be it though? Kristie 168/159/115 When I am blue.....I remember to breath again |

| Hello, That is normal. Especially if I you get into a lot of salt. A major bummer happend to me when I got my rings resized. The day I went to have the rings I wear to be resized (and cost me 60.00) unfortunaly my fingers for no apparent reason were swelled up. The reason why I didn't just go some other time is because I drove 60 miles to my MIL work so I could have it discounted and didn't really relize my hands were swelled until I got there. So I figured I would just go a half a size smaller. Well it wasn't enough.. and my rings are still to big! Wasted 60.00! so I am going to wait until I am a closer to my goal weight to re-size them. | Mine will sometimes swell up if I get hot and sweaty, like in the summer,I don't know why but after I cool down, (jump in pool ) they go down, most likely you need more water. Jackie |

| Are you drinking enough water? I know it sounds weird to tell you to drink more, but it works. One of my reasons for loosing weight is because my rings don't fit. I cut our caf. and started drinking 128 ounces of water and within days a few of my rings started to fit. Drinking all the water actually gets rid of puffiness. Try it! I'm still waiting for my wedding band to fit. it's almost there. However, I haven't been able to wear it in two years and many pounds ago. Good luck all!! | My rings are WAY too big for me now. My fingers still puff up a little sometimes, but they are still way too big. I had to move my engagement ring to my middle finger. And my wedding band is getting to the point where it wants to fall off too. I think it's time to get them re-sized. Kristie you probably do need to drink more water, but TOM can REALLY affect that too. | I'll tell you, if I drink anymore water, they'll name an ocean after me. I seen my doctor today and told me to take another water pill but to first he measured me, like I did at home last week. I brought home his measurements, and compared them to mine last week. I lost an inch since last week. But he still advised me to take an extra water pill due to my heart. But the good point is that my blood pressure is way down it was 155/89, and it's down to 115/85. He was excited, and so was I. But I just don't get how I can gain that much water weight, when I take a water pill daily. Oh well, I'm healthier and feeling better. | Kristie, could you have inadvertantly eaten something yesterday to cause the water retention? I'll get puffy with salted nuts, processed meats, pork rinds (can't find my eyes the next day BC 172/108/108 Zone since 4/98 |

| A suggestion about getting rings re-sized...they can do it by soldering tiny beads of gold to the inside of the band, rather than actually making the band smaller. You don't feel the little gold balls at all when wearing the ring, and they keep your ring secure, but do allow some "give" in case your fingers are puffy. Cheaper, too - about $15. | Sky, that's an interesting idea, I never knew that. I think they would have to use beads the size of peas for my one ring. ![]() Barb - 30 lbs gone FOREVER! www.iwsgroupinc.com - website design and development Atkins-3/14/03 174/144/135 5'2" "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing."
