I was just at Chile's today, and to my surprise they have an insert in their menu that says the amount of carbs and fiber in certain meals. I had my concerns being on introduction, and eating out. Then when I saw this I felt in control of my lunch time.

I check the forum to see if anyone else had posted the same thing. If I am just repeating what everyone already knows...sorry..I was just excited.

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same restaurant, but Chili's is a nationwide chain, which recently started including the carb counts on various items.

You can download the menu here:

Yeah, that is the same restaurant. I was just suprised to see the carb count...must be the small town that I live in. There is never any restaurant that has information like that in my town (except for the fast food places).

unfortunately, my favorite thing to have at Chili's was the corn on the cob. didn't matter what entree, as long as I got the corn.
so. one less place.

Love TGIFridays. was a little hesitant about the blue cheese on the steak - but it really added something - good.

waiting to try Ruby Tuesdays. I'm lucky to live near a big mall that has all these places. Think I'll take hubby to dinner this weekend.

OMG! I Just went there for lunch and was soooo pleasantly surprised. I had planned on getting a bacon cheeseburger and leaving the bun and fries. Instead I had all the makings of steak fajitas served on grilled veggies, with guac, sour cream, fresh salsa, and cheese. I also had buffalo wings to start off with a diet coke. I was so excited. I didn't feel deprived at all. I highly recommend it. Now they serve the burgers bunless already with veggies instead of fries. My whole meal was only 17 carbs! Woohoo.

Yes, they are joining up with a lot of other resturaunts that are listing carb counts. I went to TGIFriday's the other day and was not interested in paying for the steak with blue cheese and tried the cheeseburger plate with greens. Nice, but I am cuirous to what is in the dressing. It was ver sweet.

On another note, I do like Ruby Tuesday's. Their low carb choices are nice, along with the salad bar.

I'm hoping to get to Ruby Tuesdays tomorrow evening - haven't been there yet. Have gone to Fridays a couple times. I gave in and got the steak and blue cheese last time. Can I say, it was worth it! for a special event/treat. I was hesitant - blue cheese on steak? but it was a wonderful taste. and, sorry about the veggies, but I couldn't even finish the brocolli that came with it. I was so full!

Chili's started doing LC the week of January 15th. You can get foods off the regular menu and ask them to LC it.

Mary Kay,

Bleu cheese on a steak is wonderful. Outback has a filet with crumbled bleu cheese. I get it with brocolli or the veggie medley.

I get it on the side since it can get a tad intense.
