I thought that I saw flavored gelatin in the Atkins introduction. I have looked for it again, and cannot seem to find it. Does anyone know if Jell-O is okay to have as long as it is the sugar free? It contains no carbs, but there are some things that we cannot have. I am past the two weeks, so does that change if I can have it or not?

Sugar-free Jell-O is o.k. if it doesn't spike your glucose level. Some people consume it daily with no problem. The sweetener is aspartame a highly chemicalized substitute and has been known to cause stalls among other symptoms such as headache and intestinal discomfort. It's one of those your-results-may- vary foods. Hope you get to enjoy some!

If you don't have problems with asperteme, (I Don't) then yes by all means a nice bowl of cherry jello with some heavy whipping cream is very yummy, and may keep you out of something REALLYbad for you . It works for me.

Thank you both! I was really wondering about that. I am glad that I can start to have jello!

Here's a homemade version that is just as good as store bought, but YOU control how sweet it is and doesn't contain aspertame.

Homemade Jello

1 envelope of unflavored Gelatin
1/2 envelope of unsweetened Kool-aid, in the flavor of your choice
3/8 cup + 1 tsp. Splenda
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water

Dissolve Gelatin in boiling water thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Chill in idividual cups or in one big bowl, overnight.

A whole packet of Kool-aid is too intense, so adjust to your own taste.

ENJOY!!!!

Hey Ashley... as Kim mentioned, your mileage may vary... but I have found, especially during Induction and OWL that if I make one package of Sugar free jello (I admit I am too lazy to make my own like Barb does) and pour it into four little pyrex dishes and put them in the fridge on a regular basis, I always have something quick and tasty on hand if I need a 'dessert' or something cool and easy after a meal!

S/F pudding...........now that's dangerous. I could eat an entire package. When I was on induction, I made whipped cream, sweetened it with splenda and added cocoa powder to taste. It's kinda moussy. But that's dangerous too. Just practice self-control if you can. If you seem to be going overboard, don't make anymore for awhile. Or, dole it out in quarter cups and have it a couple times a day. Don't eat a bunch in one sitting.

Jello also has SF pudding. Bought a couple boxes, but haven't made it yet. Don't want to fuss with Kook-Aid. I'm a working gal.

I seen keto brand has a chocolate pudding out. I have not tried it.. and it is likely that I won't..but it might be an option for some one else. I love whipping up some heavy cream with coco poweder.. 1T vanilla.. and some times a dash of cinimon. YUMMMMMMMMMMM HOw ever...I tend not to make the stuff to often because I CAN'T stop myself from eating the whole bowl!
