    Hello everyone...
First of all let me say I am thrilled to see 5lbs gone after the first week of induction!
Secondly, I am curious as to what the longtime low carbers use for a scale. Right now I have the traditional scale but I am contemplating getting a digital scale so it will be easier to read...are these digital scales as accurate as the traditional scales? Any help would be great.
    Many thanks.

    Ghstgrl,

I have a old fashioned dial scale. It works for me I guess. Just remember not to weigh yourself more than once a week. I know, I use to every single day in the beginning, until I hit a stall and about wanted to throw the thing out the window. Then I realized that inches and how you feel are more important than a number. Also, since i started to excerise more seriously, I did gain a few pounds..but thats normal. So good luck and dont let it frustrate you like it did me!!!

I have 2 taylor digitals. The first one I bought at Target and is wildly inconsistant. Then I spotted one at Sam's club that also measures body fat, for $28, so I bought it. Neither one measures the same. The digitals are easier to read, but I get inconsistent results from the first one. They both weigh about the same though. And I weigh the same on them as compared to the scale at Curves, so I guess they are pretty good.

I have a really cheap dial scale. I remember once I used a doctors scale, and found that there was about a 5-10 pound difference between them. The doctor and I both agreed that I had lost the same ammount of weight, we just disagreed on where the starting and ending points were. I think I will ask about that next time I see him.

Hmm... Am I at 190 or 200 now. Either way, I have lost 45 pounds.

I have a Tanita digital scale which also measures body fat but inaccurately. It weighs well though. It's about a pound and a half off my healthometer scale.
