I just applied to Concordia as a mature student (I'm only 22 but I've been out of school for 2 years)

yes, definately Brrrr. I hope the storm the east coast is having clears up before the weekend. I have to drive to New York City to see my boyfriend for the weekend and so far the weather reports are pretty bad.

HAHA I'm going to Boston to see my BF as well. Let's hope travel is bearable...but it's supposed to be warmer in NE this weekend, so it'll feel like summer after this cold up here. Have a great time!

Here is a pic on this website, I can't guarentee that this is the way it looks but that's what it says anywyay.

Just looks like a styrofoam bowl with fries in it and cheese anf gravy on top.

Ok, like I've said, I've never acutally eaten poutine...but the stuff they make in our student center really smells like icky socks or something. It's super gross and a strange grey color.

Can you tell why I bring my own food EVERYWHERE? You never know what's for lunch.

Oh man, that is one of the many reasons I like living in the bayarea, here in California, with all the "diverse" things here, eating healthy is pretty much the norm, if someone would eat a "poutine"? around me, I'd probably be horrified and try to hide my face. One of the things I noticed here is when the whole dotcom goldrush came in, more restaurants started serving "comfort" type, midwest?? or southern cooking? type of foods, something I was not accustomed to, my mom was a hippy and I grew up on nuts and flakes .. It cracks me up when people who are stuffing so much crap in their mouths have the room to actually try to tell me how to eat. Why would their opinion even warrant anything? Follow by example right? I would have offered her an egg and a celery stick to dip in her "poutine"??!?!

That reminds me when I was training in Pittsburg for a month back in early 99. I was in a restaurant and ordered a salad and they asked do you want fries "on" that. Growing up in the South I have never heard of fries on your salad. Low and behold everywhere I went that was the normal question after ordering a salad, even side one.

Some places are harder to live than others if you're trying to eat right. I lived in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for a while, and there is SO MUCH good food back there. I also noticed that the kids in that area were mostly overweight. This was before the big national epidemic of child obesity.
