| The only thing I can think of is try to find some exercise you can do indoors. What about walking up and down stairs? Pilates is another good indoor exercise you might try. I hope this helps. Good luck! Atkins since 2/1/04 205/205/135 |

| Maz, I truly feel your pain!!!! I started out sloooooooooow. I stalled, I lost, I stalled, I lost, I stalled........I'm stalled right now. But I'm NOT giving up or giving in. You will probably lose like I did, in fits and starts. Hang in there!!!!! Keep working your program, and your program will work. Don't give up just yet. I started to up my veggie intake and things would move. I upped my exercise, then things would move. I'm upping my water even more now, in hopes it will begin to move again. Some of us are Turtle Glaciers. I am one. Slow and steady wins the race (not that this is a race) Think of it this way, a slow loss is 1) more likely to stick and 2) your skin will keep up, no saggy baggies. | I've been doing the mile walking tapes, I hate the cold and dread going outside until it warms up. They make a huge difference on how I feel, if I dont do them, I feel so sluggish. 216?/201/170? started 1/1/04 mini goal: under 200 lbs |

| Hey Maz - do you have much to lose? If not, it is normal to lose slowly. And maybe if you posted a daily menu we could see if there are some things you need to "tweak" here and there. Don't give up! If you're feeling good and not gaining that is half the battle. Connie |

| So basically what you're saying is that you have had one week without a weight loss?? I have lost count of the weeks I have had no loss. I won't get into the couple of weeks I actually gained. Yet here I am down 79.5 pounds in 50.5 weeks. Just hang in there and if you do it right (like come here and ask questions and read, read, read) you will lose weight without pain. That's the beautiful part of this woe/wol. In a year I've not eaten a single thing I didn't enjoy. When I lost weight on low fat diets I ate a lot of things I didn't enjoy and was hungry an hour later. Enjoy this woe and the pounds will come off. Post some menus and maybe we can help you tweak your woe a little. Rob 310/230.5/180 Me, a skeptic? I trust you have proof. | I always get so much benefit when i read what other people post, the strugle is the same, Please don't get discouraged, I didn't loose any weight for four weeks then I lost five lbs. I am a slow looser, but I was also a slow gainer, so keep focusing on how well you feel, keep the faith, don't weight yourself every day, and enjoy life! Rainbow |

| Oh Maz, I think we all feel for you and can offer encouragements only because we have ALL been there. Barb Keith jokes about being as fast as a glacier but in all seriousness she is such an inspiration. For awhile focus your attention on the other benefits of the way of LIFE! Do you feel better? Have you taken your measurements? I even have strong fingernails for the first time! Go figure. It is so great to eat healthy and not be hungry I wouldn't change anything even if the weight did come off as fast as a "glacier". Check out the research topics found in one of the tabs on LCE homepage. It takes a long time to wade through them but you will be convinced (and encouraged) that there is a lot more to this WOL than just losing the pounds.
