sugar free jello..too good to be true?

"Low Carb Newbies" at Low Carb Diet Support: "I was wondering if sugar free jello is ok to eat during the induction period? And if it is ok to eat, should it be limited?...."

sugar free jello made with aspartame is a YMMV type of thing (your mileage may vary). For some, aspartame can cause stalls, others not. You can experiment later -- for now you will want to keep away from it until induction is over.

However, you can get some unsweeted gelatin, some unsweetened Kool-Aid, add in a bit of Splenda, and enjoy (see recipe section). Add a bit of homemade whipped cream and you have a great induction-friendly dessert. Of course like anything, don't overdo it. But for me it's a great way to satisfy my sweet tooth!

Don't sweat it. One day of s.f. jello will in my humble opinion (IMHO) not do anything detrimental to your body or your diet.
