I drank broth and counted it as water basically last week when I was really sick. I ate what I could and stayed hydrated the best I could. IF hot doesn't do it for you--try cold--frozen berries with whipped cream, crushed ice with carb counters chocolate milk makes a great shake--even add a bit of protein powder for a thicker shake. I tried to make every calorie/carb count. No extras, but I did try to get some veggies down and didn't worry about the meat. Get extra rest, get your fluids down and take care!

Well first of all.. you probably should go see a doctor!

Second.. eat what you can. Even if it is just nibbling through out the day. Make yourself some LC chicken soup. It will be something that will be easy on your throat, and still LC.

Third... Take it easy, drink pleanty of fluids, and I sure hope you get to feeling better! (((hugzzz)))

Gilley, you poor thing!

Tanya is right; if you don't get to feeling better soon, a doctor visit is probably a good idea. But in any case, do make sure you drink plenty of fluids-green tea, broth, water, protein shakes-anything bland will be easier to get down. And try to find some sugar-free cough drops; Halls and Ricola both make them. They can really help.
I know how lousy it is when you have to work when you're sick, but just try to get as much sleep as you can.

Feel better soon!!

Sorry you're feeling ill. Good advice above. Just let your body dictate what it needs. a day or two eating little won't derail you. I usually ahve some homemade chicken stock in the freezer but you can use canned if you don't have any. anyway put about a quart of stock or broth in a large pot and add chicken parts and simmer for 45 minutes. remove chicken parts and drink broth. eat the cooked chicken if you feel up to it or save until you feel better. Oh and some celery and green onion in the broth if it's canned can make it taste more like homemade. Some herbs couldn't hurt either (tarragon? thyme?). Hope there's someone there to do this for you because I know you won;t feel up to doing it yourself.

I agree, lots of fluids!!! and LOTS of sleep. The body is better able to make repairs while sleeping.
