Hi I just signed up to the Fit Tracker today and it is a fun and handy way to keep track of carb. protein and calories.

How do I find out how many grams of Protein I need a day? I am 145 # and 5'2". My goal weight is 120 or less. My daughter needs to lose 100 pounds and she is 250# at 5'5". She has PCOS.

Am I stalled in weight loss if I have less than 20 grams of carbs a day even though I have enough protein, fats and calories?

I thought I was doing good on Atkins induction but I didn't lose very much at all if any. Time to re-read the book!

If you want to find out how much protein you need I would recomend Calculating your protein requirements. It is meant for the zone, but will give you your minimum protein intake that would work for any low carb plan.

You can also see someones results from it here Why doesn`t it work?

I am not sure what you mean by this. You should try to get as close as you can to 20 grams of carbs. You won't loose any faster by going under 20 g.

Unfortunatly some people are slow loosers. Others may have trouble getting into ketosis. Have you tested to see if you are in ketosis?

I think re-reading the book is a great idea and remember, eat your veggies

Good luck

I'm trying very hard to get 20 carbs a day.

Yesterday according to fit day I had 35 carbs. minus 11 fiber = 24 carbs. total and 1811 calories.

That seems about right or not? And I am in ketosis and drink almost a gallon of water a day.

Thanks, Mary
