Hello everyone. I have been MIA from the site for a few weeks due to craziness at work and what not. Anyway, Valentines Day did me in or should I say I did myself in. I am out of ketosis and finally got myself together and have a question...

I got through induction just fine, lost almost 20 pounds! During OWL is when I fell off the wagon (V-Day as stated above). I was about 3 weeks into OWL so I was not sure where to post this.

Do I start over with induction again to "cleanse the body" or do I pick up where I left off?

I have been doing very well this week but still not back into ketosis to any level whatsoever.

I paid the price with my carb indulgance (cheese cake, pizza, subway sub, girlscout cookies) and felt terrible physically and emoitionally. After getting back on track for the last few days I have felt great, which is a good testament as to why cheating never does anything positive.

Any way, start over or continue on OWL?

BTW, in my two week lack of focus, I put back on a few pounds (5 or 6) but I am not worried so much about that as I am getting back on track.

Suggestions welcome.

Mike

Given the extent that you went off plan I'd recommend you go back to induction. It might not be necessary to do 2 weeks though. Maybe just until you are back in ketosis plus a day or 2. So at most a week. Probably 5 or 6 days would get you back on track.

Yeah, I agree with Rob. Going back and starting Induction would be best.

As for the 5 or 6 pounds you've gained, I'd bet that it's mostly water weight gain. Eating carby foods makes us retain water.

Sorry to hear that Mike.

I am with Rob and April. Go back on induction until you get into ketosis. After that return to OWL adding 5 g a week again.

Just remember that the important thing is that you are back on the plan.

I think induction is the best choice but only till you're in ketosis.
You can do it!!!!
Keep posting your progress.

Good luck

Agreed!!! I hope this will be your last slip!!! The holidays are over, well, except for Easter (what a candy nightmare that is) Stand firm, you can do this.
