Default Starting Over

Hi everyone. I am so dissappointed with myself. I was going so well and lost 12lbs then this weekend I bought some snacks for my daughter and all was still going well but in the night time when she was sleeping I took some cookies and ate them. This just made everything go downhill and I just also ate something I should not eat. So I am starting over again. I am not giving up but the temptations are so strong. My next meal is definately going to be low carb. Sometimes when the temptations are strong I try to picture myself thin and how I would feel thin. Do you all do that? I also have a question. I bought a bottle of olives because it said less than 1g of carb. But in reading some of the threads I realised that too much olives are not good as they have a lot of salt. I was planning on having about 5 a day as a snack. What do you all think? This board is great.

Well good luck on starting over. Just rember one thing take your self back to induction eating pure foods... dont eat any of the LC breads, shakes, candies, pastas,or anything like that. Just eat pure food meat and LC veggies. stick to the under 4 oz of cheese a day and DRINK YOUR WATER! maby run your self on a week of induction eating might curbe your craveings... i have noticed if i treat my self to much i start craveing no matter if my treat was LC or not.. it spikes other craveings..

About the olives, i dont see the harm in them just limit them to 1 serving a day.. due to the salt. I tend to have on occasions a hand full of olives...

good luck and keep us posted

I agree with Gilley.....

Also, Newmom....don't beat yourself up about it....just go on....instead of focusing on the two days you messed up ...focus on the good days you have had.....

Hang in there!!! You can do it!!! Focus on the success you have had, and eat lc again immediately (do not use your cheat as an excuse to eat whatever you want that day).

good luck...

Newmom,
I'm sure we all have days like that. We figure well I already messed up today so what does it matter. I might as well eat what I want and start over in the morning. Just keep your head up. I'm sure you will get right back on track. Keep us posted. Lisa

I ate Olives during induction and just made sure I drank extra water to offset the salt. I love olives and they are a perfect snack for me. The fat content in them is very satisfying to cravings too. So use them in moderation, but hey, they're good and a good source of good fats too. Just be sure and drink lots of water before, during and after them.

Hi, Lisa, I love your idea about visualizing yourself thin - how that would look and feel. It's a great idea and I think it should help you get back on track.
