Apr 3, 1:57 PM 04-03-04 11:57 AM Hello all,

Well, I took your advice and finally read the book on atkins. I did find some things that I was doing wrong. Didn't do induction quite right. Does this mean I should re-start it. The thing is, is that I have been losing weight anyway. I have lost 26lbs since 01/18/04, so I am quite pleased with my results. Another thing is that I haven't been taking my vitamins and I plan to get right on that. I have increased my exercising and vege's and all in all I have been feeling great being on this diet. Thanks for all your support here,

Apr 3, 2:08 PM 04-03-04 12:08 PM Hi, Nancy!

Don't even think of re-starting. You're doing fine and certainly don't need to return to induction.

Congratulations on your excellent progress!

I agree with Maggie. You are already loosing weight, and probably in ketosis. I do wonder how many grams of carbs you eat a day?

IMO if it is in the 20-40 gram range, you should stay there for a bit and then start adding 5 grams a week until you reach your critical carb level. Then just stay under that until you are ready for pre-maintenance.

If you are far above that, you might want to go down to 30 or so, and then begin adding 5 grams a week.
