Arrow Back to induction!

I went back to induction on Saturday. I found out that I had been knocked out of ketosis. It was either carb countdown chocolate milk or a dinner at Ruby Tuesdays: burger wrap, mashed cauliflower, and cheesecake (all of which were great btw). I am not sure which is responsible.

I am also sort of hoping that going back may help me break my stall. Haven't lost a pound or inch since February 10th. Anyway, I have been under 20 grams so far. I miss Maggie's cereal more than anything else so far.

I think I saw a fluxuation on the scale, but I won't count it as an official loss until I can reproduce the measurement for at least two days in a row.

I am still debating on how long I should stay on re-induction for. Part of me wants to stay on for the full two weeks, but I really miss all of the other foods that I had gotten used to in OWL. If nothing else, it is forcing me to "eat clean" for the time.

I would suggest that you consider a shortened induction, the length of which would be determined by when your metabolic status returns to ketosis. Then start upping your carbs slowly.

If I recall, I think someone mentioned that the cheesecake at Ruby Tuesday's had a lot of maltitol in it. For some of us, that would be enough to throw everything out of kilter. :(

You have a really good handle on this way of eating, so I'm sure your common sense will get you right to where you need to be. We all need to "clean up" our eating habits, from time to time. There are so many more choices (some acceptable, some which only seem to be acceptable) available these days, that it helps to get back to basics every so often.

I'm sure you'll do fine!

The carb countdown chocolate milk knocked me solidly out of ketosis and gave me a horrible 'carb headache' after I had some. Doesn't seem to affect most this way, but it sure did affect me.
