    Default 30lbs and feeling great

    Hello all,

I have lost 30lbs since 01/18/04 and feeling great. This is my first goal achieved to get under the 200 mark and I am very pleased with my accomplishments. I can't believe how great I am feeling, considering that I was a person who spent a lot of time sleeping and had little or no energy. Life wasn't very pleasant for a very long time. Now I am starting to get my confidence back and am becoming a morning person and am looking foward to getting out of bed and starting the day and also my energy level has increased 100%.

Before I started the Atkins diet, I was very skeptical. I had heard a lot of negative input. But I am very glad that I took a chance and went ahead with it. My quality of life has improved immensely and I would reccomend this diet to anyone. My eating habits have changed and I no longer crave the sweets I used to and believe me I was a sugar addict. I am eating 3 meals a day and no longer get up through the night to binge. I seen my doctor last week and he was very pleased with the weight I had lost and my BP was perfect.

If anyone is just starting the diet, don't quit before the miracle happens. Your weight will come off, you just need to be patient. I have had a couple of stalls a long the way, but I just kept at it. Sometimes it can be frustrating but the wait is worth it.

I would like to thank everyone that has helped me when I had questions, this is a great forum and I am glad that I found it.

    Hugs
    Nancy

    Nancy -
Congratulations. It is a wonderful WOL, isn't it. I'm anxiously awaiting that ONE-derful land (breaking the 200 mark) - but I'm can be patient on this - I feel so much better and energetic than I used to. It is a miracle.

Just wanted to add my congratulations too. I know how you feel although I have only lost 14 lbs so far. I was also quite sceptical about this WOE but have found it amazing. I just can't believe that I can be on a 'diet' but not feel hungry all the time! It really feels like this is something I can stick to and make it work.
    Here's to your continuing success!!!

    Nancy,
Congrats on the 30 lb loss!!! I too, was a big time *sugar addict* and continue to be amazed when I can pass up the bad foods that got me in trouble to begin with. It's a great feeling, isn't it...that control we achieve over what we eat?
    Keep up the good work
