    Default Deep Ketosis and have lost my apetite completely

    I have lost my apetite for the past 3 days but yet I continue to be in ketosis, the only things I can eat or feel to eat are nuts, but I am forcing eggs and meat down my throat, and nuts being the high fibre source, I guess I hvae totally burnt myself out on salads etc, dont know but I guess so I am evan having to focre meats, fish etc down my throat. Now I am just sick to puke if I see them and have to eat but dont want to, the more I work out the less I feel to eat it has always been this way. Nuts are the only things I can eat without feeling to barf. Why has this happened?

    mabel- sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well! i know for me, when i made drastic changes in my diet, i did feel ill for a few days. and since you indicate that it's been 3 days you've felt this way, you may be catching a bug or have something else going on in your life that disagrees with you...

    but really, i don't think there's any way to know enough about your personal health or situation for me to be very helpful. i only know my own experience. and i would say if you continue to feel ill, you should talk to your doc.

    While it is normal for people to not feel that hungry in ketosis, I don't think I have heard about people feeling nausia - unless someone really hates a food that they are trying to eat.

    I must stress that it is important to eat at least three meals a day. As you know, your carbs should come from salads and veggies.

    Finally, you can not eat that many nuts and loose weight. I went through a phase where I began to eat nuts for a meal once and it made me stall. Nuts are supposed to be limited to 1 or 2 oz at most, and only eaten after induction.

    If you are looking for fiber, have you tried Maggie's Breakfast Cereal (if you can find the ingredients) or Flax O Meal (if you can't find them). They are both safe additions to the woe, and contain both fiber and omega 3s.

    i suggest you take a few weeks off from the diet, and see how you feel.
    based on some of your past posts and this one, i'm thinking that low carbing just might not be for you.

    Hi guys

    Thanks for the replies, my pc is acting up and I am having hell to get on and stay online. Anyways. I am still feeling washed out, been working out 3 + days a week and not very hard either. Been upping my carbs and still feel just washed out.

    LCandra I did atkins last spring and did wonderful on it. But this past fall I had a major spinal operation it may be the cause of my not feeling up to perk this time around. I am also restricted from many physical things so heavens only knows what is the beef. As for seeing a doc I practially live at my doc since I have to take weekly check ups on my improvements of that operation so I had seen her on Monday and she said all my blood work is wonderful and nothing is out of tact. My only guess would be I am not taking in enough carbs even tho I know I am maybe my body wants more. I have also increased many more veges than before and so am on OWL at the moment. The weight is dragging off bit by bit since the strips stil show dark purple. I have not weighed in a week and dont intend to either. My pants are fitting better and slacker so that is all I am concerned abotu now.

    Can someone plesae share some of your simple low carb meals?

    Oh the nuts do not stall me, I dont normally take in more than 2 maxium 3 oz and I only eat almondsa nd brazil nuts raw or natural not baked or salted etc only straight raw I am not on a stall just a low energy for the past now 5 days.
