where did you read that certain supps (or taking supps) will lower your cortisol?

lower your stress level. Stress wrecks havoc on your system... so eliminating the stress will help more than you will know.

Terese is right. Stress is the biggest booster of cortisol. I've seen the stress tabs supplements but have never heard a reliable source say they do anything much. There are some things that may help. Getting regular exercise, making sure you get enough sleep, eliminating, or at least cutting back on, caffeine and sugar. You've already eliminated sugar. But the biggest help would, of coure, be eliminating the source of your stress. I know, esier said than done. But think about where your daily stresses come from and make a list and try and eliminate or reduce these sources. I know stress from a daily commute is difficult to avoid without quitting your job but there are probably thing you can do like getting family members to help out more around the house so you have time to yourself to relax or exercise.

    Graunty,

Here is a link to a previous discussion we had about these 'supplements'

Here is a link to a very good article about cortisol and its role in the body

This is just my opinion, but...
