Still going strong, but had major withdrawals during the weekend, so I spent lots of time in bed. I’m better today, and back on track. I’ve been craving the nuts, big time though
It wouldn’t feel right if I were not experiencing the usual induction side effects, such as a headache, and slight cramping, so I know I’m on the right track. Because I’m keeping it really simple, my menu won’t change much, so I’ll post it once here:
Breakfast: Eggs w/spinach and parmesan cheese, and sausage Lunch: Chicken or Steak and Salad (Greens w/ mint, cilantro, and cukes) Dinner: Taco salad, or Fish, or Chicken, or Steak, and Veggies (green beans, brussel...
And this time no BS! I plan on sticking to a true induction, to the letter, with no more excuses. I've lost the weight before, and I know I can do it again. I've already weighed, and don't plan on weighing again until day 14 (8/27/09).
Well, my blood-glucose levels have reached an all-time high, so I am forced (which is a good thing) to stick with this woe. I had a serious reaction to Glucophage, as well as other common medicines, so I have to address my diabetes with carb reduction. I started yesterday and tested today, and I’m already seeing an improvement. My goals is two-part - weight loss, and keeping my levels down. Here’s to a great LC day! BG
Day 1 isn’t so bad, compared to my previous induction a few years back. I know the headache is coming, so I’m bracing myself.
My carbs today will be in the form of: Cabbage – I love slaw Mixed greens – with a little ranch Spinach – yum I managed to fry some beef patties with radishes for the week, so I’m set.
I weighed in at 216, which shows a 4lb gain – yikes! But no more stressing over the scale, and weighing obsessively.
