Hello BK, LOOOOOVED your cat poem. I am currently catless, despite my son's ferverent pleadings (the standard poodle wants a kitty too) but we can't convince the Daddy. Anyway, I laughed and remembered so many cats in my past. Other perfect cat locations: Your masters thesis when you have the piles of index cards and random pages neatly organized at last and arranged around you on the floor. Your latest painting when it is off the easel and laying on the dining room table to dry (this has the added benefit -to the cat- of tasteful redecorating of your floor, chairs, and perhaps walls), your cat hating great aunt's lap when she is calling to discuss a possible change in the will and your very pregnant belly when you feel as if you are going to explode and spit that baby out like a watermelon seed. Baby usually takes care of that one with resounding kicks. BTW, Giant poodles and little boys do the same.
