    Hi Virginia,
    As you know, I am just learning how to use this website, and I hadn't read your profile. I have hypothyroidism, and my sister has Graves. It's a tough thing, that's why I am trying the South Beach Diet, because after many yo-yo years on Weight Watchers, and other low fat, calorie (or "point" counting) I knew I had to try something else, and I read that a lower carb diet can be good for those with thyroid issues. Also, you are from PA? My husband is from Clairton. Are you close? (Clairton is outside Pittsburgh) Anyway, thank you for all your help and I hope to be "clacking with you" often.

Biography
I am 55 years old. I actually did lose alot of weight by doing lofat, I was and kept my weight at about 140 to 150 lbs. For about 10 years or so. Then my thyroid went wacko. Had Graves disease, Every one told me to stop dieting, and I wasn't ate like a horse every 2 hous or so. Had to radiate my thyroid, was not allowed any thyroid supplements till thyroid was inactive, and the weight flew on me. almost 50 lbs in a month, and now nothing I did helped to get the weight till I started low carbing.

photography, especially hand painted photos, creating photographic effects with photo shop, knitting
