I seem to remember that--but I am very "psychological" as well, it well may be that I psyched myself into having trouble with it. I will try it one more time and if I have the same problem eating it with an open mind, then I will say I can't eat it! If I react a second itme--then DD gets pasta (dreamfields) and I get squash as usual!!!!

The article was interesting, because I also had questions about "digestible carbs." I have eaten it a few times and sometimes it's okay and sometimes it's not. My family can't tell the difference between it and regular pasta, so I'll keep buying it.

That's what I'm hoping for, that DH will like it too. But I still haven't found it anywhere yet.

DD is very discerning and she loves it--but she didn't know it wasn't "her" pasta til after she ate it!

i read on another board something about the LENGH OF TIME COOKED has an impact too... as in it loses some of the blocking of the carbs when it is cooked longer than the time it says on the package... or if they RE-HEATED it as many of us are prone to do... that also had an effect on the way thier body reacted to it...
heck if i know.. all i know is that i like it BETTER than regular pasta cause it doesnt get all soft and squishy *L*
but i KNOW people have said that it DOESNT work for them.., so i wouldnt advise it unless you dont have problems in that regard..
*sigh*.. sure would like to see what the patent is going to say..

Kim that's true of all pastas. There's a starch matrix that breaks down in all pastas and when you over cook it, the matrix gets more and more destroyed, turning it into simpler sugars. I'm still gonna keep my eyes open for it and buy one box and see how it goes. If DH likes it, that's what he'll get instead of the other stuff.

barb do you have a super walmart in your area? that is the only place i have found it.. If they do not carry it.. you can ask management and they will .... good thing about walmart..
I will also tell you that you might want to realy check your super walmart if u have one.. they do not put it in the isle w/ the LC things.. or even in the area near the pharmcy.. mine keeps it in the regualr pasta section.. i almost missed it till i asked where they kept it after i requested them to carry it.

I haven't found ANY LC stuff at my Walmart yet. But then again I haven't been there for a few months. I'll have to check again. Thanks for the TIP, Gilley!!!!! I'll give them a call even to see if they are carrying ANY LC stuff.

Hey Barb,

I know that the Walmarts in Naperville and Bolingbrook both carry the LC products. The are usually located in and aisle next to the regular food aisle. However all the shakes and LC bars are located near the pharmacy.

Just noticed I need to change my profile city since we moved back to Ohio this week.

Thanks Libby I'll have to check that out. And I will check the one up here by Charlestown Mall too.

When the heck did you move back to Ohio???? I'm glad we at least had a chance to have lunch together that one time. Shucks, I was hoping to get an Illinois group together eventually. You'll have to see if you are near any of the other Ohio people from here. There's a ton of them!!!! That would be cool if you could get together with them!!!!!! I still would like to do an Indy trip one of these days.

I like the taste of dreamfields pasta very much. I had the spaghetti , but my favorite is the elbow macaroni with the carb options cheese sauce. I could easily be addicted to that stuff. I too took carb blockers when I had it. Guess I'm the suspicious type.

the penne is awesome stuff... i cook it the time recommended.. i usually have it with meat sauce... but daughter#1 has made it into a cold salad with tuna and mayo and celery /onion/bellpepper... that was wonderful at a bbq...
i would be suspicious too. do you use the keto stix to check if it knocks ya out of it?
