Default Nestle Crunch Carb Select Bar

Someone bought one of these and gave it to me today. Haven't even opened it yet. I'm going to try it over next weekend and share it with the dh. It's 3.5 g of Net Carbs...so we know what that means...lotsa sugar alcohol!

Here are the ingredients listed: Isomalt, Cocoa Butter, Chocolate, Crisped Rice (Rice Flour, Malted Barley and corn extracts with wheat starch (starch?), Malitol, Salt), Milkfat, Sodium, Caseinate (from milk), Soy Lecithin, Artificial Color, Vanillin - an artificial flavor, Sucralose - 18 g of sugar alcohol are listed and less than 1 gram of dietary fiber.

Maybe a once in awhile treat but not more than that..and I've heard that the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups will be due out next week...probably the same amount of carbs...

These might have been a little more expensive than regular candy bars but not by much...88 cents a piece...

It's not horrible for a once a month treat or something. Some people can't handle those things at all, it sends them on a binge. But if you can handle a half a bar once a month, I don't see a HUGE problem with it..........as long as it doesn't send you on a downer, ya know?

I wish they would all switch to Erithritol--though maybe it is best they dn't--since I can eat that one--I probably would eat them and never lose another pound! I do eat a hershey's one carb now and again--maybe once a week--two or three during TOM but otherwise I eat real foods--a peach is much more appealing to me than a chocolate bar at this point
