Hello all!! *waves happily*

It's Friday, hence my weekly tango with the scale.
*gives scale hairy eyeball to show that I have no fear*

EIGHTEEN POUNDS
since July 5!!!

(and then I proceeded to step on it 3 more times to make sure I wasn't dreaming!)

sadly, the not so good news

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

I'm coming down with a cold. We've been sleeping with a window slightly open due to the heat. Well today in the wee morning hours the fog rolled in and I woke up FREEZING. (chilled to the bone, even a hot shower didn't help)

whimper, I had such great plans for the weekend, thankfully my Netflix order is all in.

*sniffcoughwheeze*

I'm off to search for soup recipes.

and though I feel awful

I AM WEARING A SIZE SMALLER TODAY

one of those tops I order in 2 sizes, I'm now in the smaller one (and it's loose!)

*happyhappycoughcough*

April Rose, that is fantastic!! You are doing so well; give yourself a big pat on the back, girl!!
(doin' the wave for AR...)

Sorry about the cold, though. Summer colds stink. :( Feel better soon, ok?

Happy news on the reduction, and may your sniffles be short lived!

Graet News! Sorry about the cold. At the first sign of a sniffle I start taking Tons of vitamin C. Usually works if I don't wait too long.

Wowieee!!! Way to go! I have not been able to come post here in ages. Last time (months ago!), I remember you were hovering around the 200 mark. Wow - look a what an incredible job you've done since then! I am SO excited for you.

I remember then you were looking for ways to get the weightloss rolling again. Did you do anything different? Or just persevere?

What a difference a day makes! Yesterday you were worried (about your calories) and today! What a wonderful day! So glad you came out of your stall!!! Sorry about the cold, though. Since I have been getting flu shots each fall . . . I never get a cold. Although, I am not exposed to little ones, either, that come home from school bearing bugs. Again, CONGRATULATIONS!

You got fog this morning? I am ~so~ jealous! It's still running up to the high 90s in San Jose - no trace of coastal overnight fog here yet. I really don't remember a heat wave lasting this long for the last dozen or more years.

:great: Congratulations on your wonderful success and have lots of fun wearing your smaller clothes!

I hope your cold goes away fast - be wary of cold medicines that contain sugar.

Gracie I'm sorry, I completely missed your question!!

I didn't give up - that's what I did!!!

When I start to have doubts I take a really good hard look at my fitday weight lose chart and remember how bad I felt at my beginning weight.

The kicker that got me back on low carb?

I was at the mall shopping for a baby gift. Walking from the car to the store I was SO out of breath I really thought I was going to have a heart attack. A distance of one residential block, flat walking and I just couldn't do it.

I thought, as I sat down to let my heart rate come down, about how embarrassed I and my family would be to have me pass away from my weight in such a public place. I decided right then and there that that this was no way to live.

When I start to faultier, I remember that feeling. I don't EVER want to be there again!!
