| I make my own yogurt sometimes. It's really easy, and I don't have a yogurt maker. Here are the instructions I use. I incubate it on the top of my stove with the oven on "warm", and I use plain Stonyfield Farm yogurt for the starter. It has no additives, and lots of active cultures. The only other equipment you need is a candy thermometer, a 9X13 cake pan, and some small glass containers with tight-fitting lids (I use small canning jars). I sterilize the jars first. Give it a try before you buy a maker.

| Ah... well, I'm with Gilley79 - I just didn't lose weight when I was eating yogurt (whole milk, non-sweetened). I guess it depends on how your personal enzymes handle it.

| I just bought a Salton yogurt maker on Amazon.com for $12 and change. Got it Friday and haven't had a chance to "play" with it yet!! Alton Brown's Good Eats has a recipe for homemade yogurt too, http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/reci..._19495,00.html - along with a recipe for frozen lemon ginger yogurt which if tweaked to low carb - looks GOOD! I've gotta get some milk and try my new toy.... Char
